Lina and Robin Kelleher’s Latest Book, Sit Stay Pray, Recipient of Second National Book Award
(Burnsville, MN) – One can never have too much of a good thing! With a second award for their second book, Robin Kelleher and her Toy Australian Shepard, Lina, have been marking their territory in the book world.
The duo’s latest release, Sit Stay Pray, won silver for Humor in the Independent Book Publisher Award’s 32nd Annual Benjamin Franklin contest in May. The judges of the “Bennie” gave Lina and Robin high praise with comments like, “Lina certainly can tell a story,” “Excellent work, excellent stories, excellent product,” “An inspired, charming, laugh-out-oud read,” and “Dog’s point of view is genius.” Lina and Robin’s favorite comment, though, was “Keep writing!”
Then in July, the 14th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards named Sit Stay Pray a finalist in its Animals and Pets category. Although they didn’t achieve first place, the authors are nevertheless celebrating their big win in what was one of the largest NIEA’s contests ever with over 1,000 entrants. Said NIEA President Doug Fogelson: “This year’s entries continue an upward trend in high-quality publishing, even among first time or newer authors. The competition is intense. Lina and Robin’s debut book, Lina Unleashed, also received national recognition as a Foreword INDIES 2017 Book of the Year Award finalist. Momma is smiling and Lina is wagging her tail about their achievements!

Sit Stay Pray Wins Another Indie Award!
On July 9, Sit Stay Pray was named a finalist in the Animals and Pets category of the 14th annual National Independent Excellence Awards! Once again, Lina and Momma are thrilled. They are especially tickled to win in two categories — Humor (see below) and Animals and Pets!

Sit Stay Pray Is Award Finalist!
Sit Stay Pray has just been named one of the best books of the year in the humor category by the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards program. Although SSP didn’t win the gold at the May award ceremony, Lina and Momma are tremendously proud with their accomplishment!

About the Author
Lina is a five-year-old Toy Australian Shepherd who hails from Florida. She is an acclaimed author, blogger and keen observer of human behavior.
When Lina is not busy writing, she enjoys chasing her big orange ball, chewing on a bully stick, performing tricks and playing with her furry friends. She does not enjoy being in any lake, river, stream, ocean, the rain or even wet grass. Unfortunately for Lina, she and her human, Robin Kelleher, divide their time between Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes, and Marco Island, one of the Ten Thousand Islands of Florida.
Lina’s momma, Minnesota native Robin Kelleher, is a labor and employment law attorney, but her interests and careers are vast and varied. She was formerly a music teacher (and has released two CDs with her friend, Carole), a realtor and real estate developer. She loves to golf, paddleboard, travel, read, write, workout and tend to her herb garden. She also tends to Lina who tends to think her momma is a little ditzy.
